A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-221_22124236103_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 img_8812_20147134501_o img_8849_19953406378_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-39_28818233863_o img_7584_35347377990_o untitled_panorama1_44650695135_o proyecto-de-construccin-de-las-dos-nuevas-escuelas-de-bayside-y-westside-en-waterport-gibraltar_41541646002_o 2014-Evacuation-2.00 img_0719_21585690522_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-29_19720492588_o 2g9a0387_48801282061_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16386706775_o 1_img_0111_29910409648_o 2g9a2580_49085939168_o 180731 - Visita a la nueva central eléctrica y planta de GNL rock-hotel-1_27855925599_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-24 2g9a4545_48714142751_o img_0198_45106521024_o dscf7930_43693499335_o img_9528_44830690592_o img_5427_41421467015_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_40402221220_o img_5453_41600438144_o 08-may-2017-35visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_34353145880_o 2g9a7220_29720286922_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354050513_o 2g9a7461_29750674201_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026145091_o img_5066_29192366000_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37168277215_o 21-jun-2016-inauguracin-puente-colgante-en-la-reserva-natural-del-pen-de-gibraltar_27758328281_o untitled_panorama1-copy_29478978855_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-12_22870121843_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-61_20999238500_o festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_17504004981_o 000-crowning-dsc_6113_1_19436683705_o 0000-0a-dsc_6124_18815826793_o img_2923_24624841663_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201407_15811536381_o img_8666_24372322612_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-34_9289230229_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24497009125_o BP200031 Remembrance-Sunday-2022-9
