A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. trnsito-por-la-avenida-winston-churchill-que-cruza-el-aeropuerto-hasta-la-finalizacin-del-tnel-actualmente-en-construccin_22117315414_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-267_22557372440_o cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-05_20089708635_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23216924022_o img_3740_34112961651_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-emili-sande_9703007570_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-this-side-up_9702973378_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival56_14981747048_o img_8917_19520175794_o concierto-andrea-bocelli_48720880826_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_26002396678_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-14_19721809279_o partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-08_14752522101_o img_4298_20484976974_o img_9616_40316211480_o 2g9a9496_50032885662_o img_7499_25762256838_o Mezquita-8 Punta-Europa-11 Punta-Europa-16 st-michael-cave-206_39633561791_o img_5325_48919602751_o img_4089_45831073871_o rita-ora-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-120_44833866222_o 20171214_094350_24195321837_o img_8060_30732455188_o el-gobernador-de-gibralar-sir-edward-davis_37651612474_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-95_38490770246_o OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA 2g9a9337_32228019781_o img_2253_36991617672_o img_3723_36765432330_o 2g9a5877_30746104740_o_31001135171_o 2g9a6060_30999748691_o_31001125971_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-25_30879402725_o a-dsc_5717_19250376599_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a2919_27703097885_o img_2166_27424744370_o img_4480_25012650324_o img_8941_24372227662_o 2015_09_14__0217_21397446776_o fuegos-artificiales-como-colofn-del-da-nacional-de-gibraltar-2015_22731398082_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_4238_17817964519_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day41_15014926778_o Kingston-1 THE EARL AND COUNTESS OF WESSEX ARRIVE IN GIBRALTAR
