Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_3766_34243165505_o img_0031_43202808544_o img_0362_45389520554_o Gibraltar-Barbary-Macaques gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-yasmin-levy-mediterranean-andalusian-orchestra-ashkelon-27_9222724905_o 7u3a5110_49336224203_o asher-moodie-reino-unido-junto-a-bailarines-de-la-mediterranen-dance-school-y-dance-academy_14029857341_o Monos-53 gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-35_9225464106_o main-street-0434_38925640224_o 7u3a9444_49597828257_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-6 15-de-enero-2016-simulacro-de-rescate-con-helicpteros-merlin-mk3-en-gibraltar-16_23771644073_o 2g9a2159_48706247486_o superman-en-gibraltar-actor-henry-cavill-carrera-5km-del-350-aniversario-de-la-marina-britanica-25102014-09_15447875619_o img_2348_39948490785_o 2g9a0861_48805745613_o img_0755_38822716370_o El-periodico-‘Gibraltar-Evening-Post-mostro-su-preocupacion-sobre-una-posible-guerra-con-motivo-de-la-disputa-sobre-Gibraltar.-Exposicion-‘Closure. 1_img_0115_42877250235_o img_9149_37650280124_o_38310538586_o 7u3a0106_50032156128_o img_9179_38309600126_o_24494936778_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131153177_o 5-enero-2017-cabalgata-de-reyes-magos-gibraltar-22_31319334473_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-47_31992467822_o img_3729_36765429050_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31427019116_o 2g9a5118_22782641768_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-7_30661247110_o 2g9a7242_29750590731_o 2g9a9306_29373760242_o 2g9a9466_29192805970_o 110183_29207859940_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26073135424_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26088171581_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_9098_25955083424_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_5990_25376580433_o despedida-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar-13112013-marcos-moreno10_10967186286_o 7U3A4775 fuegos-artificiales-como-colofn-del-da-nacional-de-gibraltar-2015_22718963956_o BP200031 El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-30
