181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto Accesibilidad a las playas de Gibraltar Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 20150911_101605146_ios_22755645911_o trnsito-por-la-avenida-winston-churchill-que-cruza-el-aeropuerto-hasta-la-finalizacin-del-tnel-actualmente-en-construccin_22117315414_o img_0092_43872556642_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar25_10382639363_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-en-chordais-09_9222660131_o hospital-de-campaa_49726813621_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868060651_o img_2625_45564822511_o jebel-sahara-1-el-cnel-cte-badr-entrega-una-placa-a-la-embajadora-del-reino-unido-en-marruecos_23091556746_o 2g9a8333_48874550353_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39876288251_o gibraltar-estonia-marzo-2014-7_12956084373_o gibraltar-eslovaquia07_10967675153_o 568772657257d7e1a01052c1fcb4f963 img_0055_41972489800_o img_4241_27855794769_o Mezquita-37 2g9a4259_48230656026_o img_0309-1_45106513714_o img_0200_42190661541_o img_7980_44603393201_o img_8968_24493312918_o_38310546936_o 2g9a9432_32228011581_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-17_31992470462_o img_0743_35671156133_o img_9912_36311395162_o 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-19_34309882132_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-43_30927345666_o 2g9a7470_29833307345_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221928364_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25197189880_o simulacro-accidente-aereo-en-gibraltar-03122014-22_15758178127_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201423_15627605999_o 2g9a2013_26964555680_o img_2962_25251294585_o 2g9a2150_27253040596_o img_9236_26534105336_o gibraltar-national-day_007_9719775150_o img_7867_21287916772_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar11_11312422015_o Kingston-34 img_4407_20351070548_o 7u3a6878_51342923098_o 2g9a8743_51680448997_o THE EARL OF WESSEX VISITS HER MAJESTY’S NAVAL BASE 20220910_21-GUN-SALUTE_044
