A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 20150911_151729741_ios_22755158331_o 20150911_132729617_ios_22120633334_o COLA GIBRALTAR img_3718_33402050474_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-hollie-buhagiar_9702980438_o img_0423_46063491852_o img_8836_19518880384_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 1953-Serie-completa gibraltar-feroe-febrero-2014-11_12865017414_o The Anniversary of The Battle Of Trafalgar, An act of remembrance held within The Trafalgar Cemetery Gibraltar, Sunday 18th October 2015.VIP's included Interim Governor, Chief Minister, 2nd Sea Lord and CBF. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a9848_27773273022_o img_2772_25225960806_o img_2862_24625093713_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-10_21113825289_o 2g9a1620_27205708776_o 75-years-gibraltar-honouring-generation-15_17560903825_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day02_15201064142_o 1_7U3A4535 BP200031 GIB-20230506-045-Coronation Gun Salute
