A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-654_22717456976_o img_9345_42112036860_o Gibraltar - Drivers wait for hours to cross border gibraltar-music-festival-2013-gabrielle-aplin_9702991912_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-hollie-buhagiar_9702976076_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival33_14277805098_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival61_14981587539_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25125380319_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_0657_21605696321_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26662742800_o img_9534_28250756458_o img_0204_41972491870_o 2g9a8802_48826247388_o img_0214_43733216672_o american-war-memorial-7760_39633617661_o Monos-49 P1080696 img_4069_48699660836_o 2g9a5898_48204606796_o img_0312_31960315868_o img_5282_40516032900_o img_3562_34196602236_o img_1166_36814004296_o img_0125_36082727340_o actividades-paralelas-al-open-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_32570311531_o 2g9a5234_30961543205_o img_9587_36030364812_o 2g9a5385_25326079619_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770633770_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28939791244_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026133681_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27732673142_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26154508745_o a-dsc_5670_19430280822_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201401_15193977923_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201409_15628240777_o img_2708_25159009771_o 2g9a1620_27205708776_o img_9079_24454438786_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_4061_17816591790_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day43_15198455231_o 32.3-2021 Remembrance-Sunday-2022-18 Fabian-Picardo-2 customs-2-aduanas-hmc-seeker_48859710531_o
