cueva-de-st-michael-gibraltar_22124499443_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-672_22755088011_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - Fabian Picardo led his GSLP/LiberalAlliance Ministers to the Convent earlier this morning where there were sworn into Government by Acting Governor Alison Macmilan. He and his team then headed to Number Six where they held their first press call as the newly formed Government following a landslide victory. ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar36_10382462976_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-en-chordais-04_9225433570_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-level-42_9699898675_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-en-chordais-16_9225440822_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival28_14277810418_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-10_17176691428_o img_9898_21441944136_o img_9984_20845322014_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions concierto-andrea-bocelli_48721053412_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26662742800_o 2g9a2982_49094439436_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868058991_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-22_19574919741_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742373233_o entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-28_11213202745_o proyecto-de-construccin-de-las-dos-nuevas-escuelas-de-bayside-y-westside-en-waterport-gibraltar_27712734298_o img_2704_45564868081_o P1080665 wellington-front044-3_25762163748_o 2g9a4217_48230646586_o 2g9a2047_48705913448_o 2g9a4512_48713811883_o img_9319_31008114888_o img_1748_44585334292_o 2g9a9423_32308845166_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_40402219940_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-53_32022592491_o 14-diciembre-2016-gbc-open-day-maratn-benfico-2_31527601411_o 2g9a5853_30999473811_o_31114930575_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-9_30578377060_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959236085_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959236515_o 99163_28874463453_o 2g9a9289_29193661580_o 21-jun-2016-inauguracin-puente-colgante-en-la-reserva-natural-del-pen-de-gibraltar_27799936156_o img_9583_26532996406_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25466666316_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. img_2772_25225960806_o 2015_09_14__0145_21432304271_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-57_9289089213_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3940_17381639374_o EL-MP-Fabian-Picardo-y-el-Gobernador-de-Gibraltar-en-Londres-con-el-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-2
