A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. restauracin-cementerio-witham-6_24850848043_o el-castillo-moro-de-gibraltar-abajo-la-ciudad-y-el-puerto_22727026562_o paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-09_9225093668_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival37_14464390205_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-18_29439872945_o 7u3a9380_49597081643_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_32554447865_o 2017-Military-Heritage The Anniversary of The Battle Of Trafalgar, An act of remembrance held within The Trafalgar Cemetery Gibraltar, Sunday 18th October 2015.VIP's included Interim Governor, Chief Minister, 2nd Sea Lord and CBF. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201403_15813415075_o tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-17_15513090801_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201446_15628562090_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24470800596_o 2015_09_14__0026_21424053945_o despedida-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar-13112013-marcos-moreno07_10967187206_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day52_15198438641_o 1_7U3A4609 BP200031 img_4431_19917960513_o 2g9a8721_51681502178_o
