cementerio-de-trafalgar-gibraltar_22744630275_o 2g9a9930_48907835831_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 20150911_152238465_ios_22718017546_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23607991486_o 20-agosto-2014-colas-de-salida-de-gibraltar19_14800942239_o img_3335_34112852211_o img_3733_34086397992_o img_0345_45389526844_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii55_21028524038_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-87_29360025661_o 7u3a9405_49597579341_o 2g9a0736_48805743973_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39165069214_o img_0098_42877256075_o 1_img_0062_41972487710_o 7u3a9609_49901121847_o Trafalgar-10 devils-tongue-4_24765140787_o img_1922_27856026519_o 7U3A2354 img_1758_43726055525_o img_3068_26064763047_o img_3163_40937386411_o img_0782_39877392102_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-158_24674707528_o img_0346_36342192921_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-164_38547041971_o 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-9_34428539056_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354092353_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-50_30828721161_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978705666_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959239485_o img_2093_36765425700_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29332678833_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876084701_o 2g9a9296_28860269943_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29275188980_o img_5083_29480881705_o img_5167_29479271875_o 10-may-2016-visita-inaugural-crucero-jewel-of-the-seas-3_26935103895_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-42bn_21050836670_o img_2990_25132976772_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a2150_27253040596_o img_3837_20301799884_o 4019-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20087714733_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-12_21113821269_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-43_17992059702_o GIB-20230506-045-Coronation Gun Salute
