Vistas de Gibraltar Primer vuelo Gibraltar-Marrakech Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 2g9a9303_48908301387_o img_8459_20076681682_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23608026966_o img_0449_32242170628_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-en-chordais-14_9222663881_o img_9894_43872618322_o img_7570_34925361313_o img_0474_44297156590_o img_0630_21570719666_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_4709_44297336680_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25244580544_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-34_19908514735_o 7u3a9427_49597828562_o strongmen-201347_10019105305_o img_9764_21457259852_o img_9671_40316193850_o 62032-0-11 7u3a9620_49900813301_o img_9524_41222416425_o P1080602 the-main-guard-1_38736855265_o untitled_panorama1_29944416837_o img_4734_48713815358_o img_1419_44635132871_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-179_26771240769_o img_9972_42190713191_o img_0738_28129696049_o img_8858_37650967344_o img_0753_26036933558_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-9_32141137715_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36331789554_o 2g9a5204_30873102541_o 2g9a5055_30872848781_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-45bn_20617814693_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-51bn_21052089859_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-01_19937354186_o img_2216_27090566004_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201405_15628570820_o img_2813_24884286029_o 2g9a2847_27090564314_o img_4430_19917986233_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-14_9292101926_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-23 El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-13 EL-MP-Fabian-Picardo-y-el-Gobernador-de-Gibraltar-en-Londres-con-el-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-2
