A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23551716241_o img_4004_16259961761_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23242691771_o img_3713_33402051354_o img_0316_45202119185_o 2g9a0232_48801424947_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-41_9225466360_o gibraltar-tradewise-chess-festival_004_12193762704_o 7u3a6500_49454484666_o img_9652_41222375555_o The Anniversary of The Battle Of Trafalgar, An act of remembrance held within The Trafalgar Cemetery Gibraltar, Sunday 18th October 2015.VIP's included Interim Governor, Chief Minister, 2nd Sea Lord and CBF. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. a-dsc_5463_18816006513_o a-dsc_5759_19440777611_o simulacro-accidente-aereo-en-gibraltar-03122014-20_15943923715_o tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-24_15493076906_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-20_15354667001_o img_2933_24624572763_o GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY panorama_gibraltar_20800786184_o gibraltar-national-day-2013-238_9716882215_o Gibraltar, 25 septiembre 2013.
