A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 2g9a9330_48908300217_o img_8447_19896553330_o skywalk-gibraltar-7-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_41367548320_o 20-agosto-2014-colas-de-salida-de-gibraltar11_14964626146_o img_4824_41863369431_o img_0327_45202120685_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez29_12102115703_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-69_28815975134_o img_0630_21570719666_o img_4119_21107839685_o university-21_39633679241_o 7u3a5293_49336694791_o Juan-Franco-izquierda-y-Fabian-Picardo-derecha-se-saludan-en-La-Linea P1080597 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-7_15832492483_o small-boats-marina-1_24765542307_o taxi-4_39604162832_o img_1413_44585039292_o img_9454_44600536421_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-25_30874577771_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-44_30874568381_o img_0787_39737053385_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-25_30280681093_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354052253_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-55_30828718831_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354090423_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876084781_o 2g9a9786_29372688612_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_26808903394_o img_9580_25956091733_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24288112443_o 05-ene-2016-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_24124234641_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-25_20999394178_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. a-dsc_5977_18815847353_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26295221642_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26361652936_o 2g9a1705_26964555830_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24201447660_o 2015_09_14__0128_20801203334_o GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-58_21300639695_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-74_21308746321_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-96_21289972752_o cm-covid-vaccine-2_50887131258_o
