A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_0306_45389525324_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-la-oreja-de-van-gogh-marcos-moreno08_9699925681_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-yasmin-levy-mediterranean-andalusian-orchestra-ashkelon-18_9225492154_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival25_14441445726_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival34_14277950318_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival25_14484559123_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival31_14981751600_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii87_21216356285_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25466796506_o img_5266_34313435421_o The Anniversary of The Battle Of Trafalgar, An act of remembrance held within The Trafalgar Cemetery Gibraltar, Sunday 18th October 2015.VIP's included Interim Governor, Chief Minister, 2nd Sea Lord and CBF. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26387567785_o img_2902_24624884883_o rueda-de-prensa-de-fabin-picardo-y-joseph-garca-en-bruselas_27187074176_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26387593305_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
