Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23216999332_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 foot-12_17496782969_o img_5290_33601841824_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off hospital-de-campaa_49726813971_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201436_15600025426_o 2g9a0492_26784203071_o 2g9a0541_26246266054_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-24_19901007182_o 2g9a0382_48800933118_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-02_9224810194_o 1_img_0093_29910414418_o shipping-8_39632805261_o 7u3a9968_50032088708_o 2g9a0644_48919807122_o 2g9a1068_48952340562_o 7U3A2442 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-17_31992470462_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978708676_o img_2141_36326680804_o 2g9a7452_29540586250_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_25549743524_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-12_24573482099_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-01_22868948264_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-10bn_21052080459_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-47_21000555029_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-72_21161111856_o img_9228_25955130244_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_25918674074_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26523590345_o img_2994_21596151730_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_23868804724_o 2015_09_14__0219_21235843998_o GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY 10-septiembre-2014-national-day15_15014995837_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar18_11312536483_o Kingston-14 049_20318110851_o BP200031 32.3-2021 Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-26
