A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. cix-italia_14053042243_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii50_21028535958_o img_6682_35541521895_o 2014-Dolphins-of-Gibraltar 7u3a6452_49454486021_o 2g9a0475_26246320224_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201420_15437107939_o 1300th-Anniversary-of-Tariq-ibn-Ziyad 2g9a0217_48801426492_o entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-26_11213189355_o 2g9a0311_48801281971_o 2g9a9545_50032088758_o Trafalgar-11 img_3541_39603140302_o Alameda-9 piper-1_39633880161_o st-michael-cave-180_38925226744_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131097303_o rita-ora-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-110_43072427480_o img_3137_39128148330_o img_2404-2_44585522862_o img_0761_39737057655_o untitled_panorama1_36832762226_o img_7232_34776972075_o cm22_35393033063_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31427343906_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-24_36750957240_o_36354889963_o 2g9a9584_28859278833_o img_3778_36973639696_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-20_21187323645_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_17316432278_o tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-14_15516249685_o 2g9a9879_27773285392_o 2015_09_14__0181_21235716920_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
