A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. desayuno-financiero-de-gibraltar-en-londres_45467657202_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-204_22557459640_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-717_22730243822_o 1_discurso-del-ministro-principal-en-la-cuarta-comisin-de-la-asamblea-general-de-la-organizacin-de-naciones-unidas_30005416782_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar22_14989721515_o img_3999_16260927632_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - Candidates from across both parties took time off for a quick lunch as they continued their walk abouts between polling station.Acting Governor Alison Macmilan was also observed visiting polling stations in the company of Presiding Officer Paul Martinez.Others involved in monitoring the progress of the voting has been Unite whose senior committee were on a walk about between polling stations. 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival36_14463039232_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25374457252_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25851363566_o img_7555_35347380990_o 2014-Gibraltar-Sea-Scouts-Centenary 31-de-mayo-ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho25_14314244472_o Punta-Europa-25 2g9a4295_48230650731_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131093373_o img_3913_45106520674_o img_9437_29944492417_o img_5409_41421462875_o img_8112_44603355471_o img_8986_38332994822_o_26590190319_o 08-may-2017-10visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895407454_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-57_30828717531_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-2_37148809895_o_37027014631_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29455745962_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354089333_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-21 img_2308_36765362270_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_25881621180_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-30_24847794541_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-67_20999441478_o joseph-garca-viceministro-principal-de-gibraltar-el-9-feb-2016-durante-un-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24286853364_o 2g9a9671_27839953626_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
