Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. default 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar28_14966726936_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. notre-dame-1_44296998490_o img_0408_45389529744_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-olly-murs_9703108078_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival44_14484536873_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-31_17338554426_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii72_21224326371_o lema-qu-date-en-casa_49846839316_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off regiment-freedom-of-city-0118-bw_15253196319_o 7u3a6452_49454486021_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-22_19285909334_o Gibraltar - Preparations for Operation Sea Snake start at Eastern beach with tanks img_9636_20840549744_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201432_15437599848_o 2g9a1098_48952140926_o 2g9a0323_48801281896_o Monos-58 westside-panorama1_48805743933_o 2g9a4259_48230711192_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131072866_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-6_29314690470_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131093293_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27834006765_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-4_47644435332_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_25551863733_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-15_47644436422_o img_2925_24624583463_o img_9600_44881495361_o img_9090_26467730832_o img_9445_29664841817_o 2015_09_14__0186_20802691923_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-120_38547058011_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-14_17968762876_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-98_29524282471_o 7U3A4836 festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar-2015_17317278909_o 6 2g9a0083_26882444961_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-47 El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-14 Remembrance-Sunday-2022-14 Molly-Peach-entrega-unas-flores-a-la-Condesa-de-Wessex-en-presencia-de-su-madre-la-cabo-Peach
