A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. los-macacos-en-libertad-en-el-pen-de-gibraltar-son-divertidos-pero-alimentarlos-est-penado_22713469506_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23525514042_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23216935692_o img_0092_43872556642_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-16_24970501302_o strongmen-201380_10018957063_o 2g9a0778_48806237132_o img_4237_20486583723_o img_9550_28250751758_o 2g9a1985_49049233777_o 1_img_0098_42877256075_o 2g9a8827_48826621296_o wellington-front0440_38925123684_o 2g9a8412_46634161231_o img_0304_45831074471_o img_4129_45831046611_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-79_26771253999_o 08-may-2017-35visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_34353145880_o img_0507_36479615025_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770650960_o 2g9a5125_30961359425_o 130447_29496691285_o img_5186_28857155613_o 21-jun-2016-inauguracin-puente-colgante-en-la-reserva-natural-del-pen-de-gibraltar_27799936156_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-37 img_9537_25956123893_o 2g9a2864_27090561494_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201455_15628563400_o 2g9a2004_27205708346_o img_9241_25957183553_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-10_9289349921_o 2015_09_14__0246_21397362886_o 2015_09_14__0269_20802448753_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-31_20569964360_o img_8036_21272212626_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_4208_18004989281_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar10_11312498834_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3765_17977804736_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar19_11312492204_o z-image4_50825359241_o img_4483_19917728043_o Remembrance-Sunday-2022-20 fabin-picardo-ministro-principal-gibraltar-14_9222251883_o rueda-de-prensa-resolucin-comisin-ue09_10967630386_o
