conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_38590511160_o sector-juego-online-ladboke-gibraltar-03_9225057582_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. img_8425_20084546825_o monos-en-la-ciudad-06_9225085646_o 20-agosto-2014-colas-de-salida-de-gibraltar07_14984514471_o img_9397_43202798214_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-emili-sande_9703007570_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival23_14463271234_o img_8820_20133507122_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-50_29151465610_o 2g9a0686_48806238037_o intercambio-cultural-entre-gibraltar-y-cdiz_29024011288_o strongmen-201372_10018881524_o 2g9a0339_48801281656_o 2g9a2561_49085939658_o 1_img_0111_29910409648_o P1080697 img_5293_48919071333_o img_3940_45831066281_o img_1744_36605146450_o img_1660_30765331718_o img_8777_39877385382_o img_4602_23521819188_o 08-may-2017-19visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895398434_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318389362_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354054203_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-6_30962851685_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354070203_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-36_30927351356_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026135351_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-20_30916508855_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37168279025_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29565271965_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-36 Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-91 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26613133941_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-18_23414781861_o 000-a-dsc_6114_19440964201_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
