A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_38590502660_o colas-coches-gibraltar-febrero-2014-7_12614288325_o 4-oct-2017-cm-y-representantes-de-gibraltar-en-cuarta-comisin-de-naciones-unidas-3_37398299050_o 14-agosto-2014-colas-de-accceso-a-gibraltar03_14731997187_o 25-noviember-2014-cola-de-salida-gibraltar-08_15694990748_o img_3996_16235880376_o cola-peatonal-salida-de-gibraltar-23072015-04_19775844498_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii36_21028565388_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 img_0509_32242283978_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0114_15438414642_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25851354856_o 2g9a0287_48801281171_o 31-de-mayo-ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho24_14292929656_o visita-platini-gibralar-rock-cup-2014-35_14150920852_o img_9495_41403115524_o img_5771_49086658582_o Trafalgar-8 Mezquita-32 img_5184_48919806377_o img_5453_41600438144_o img_9498_31008244878_o img_1474_36213027573_o img_2023_36212886323_o 2g9a5834_32763867525_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-89_29314630190_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31349009051_o untitled_panorama2_36764784300_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959239245_o 2g9a7203_29207188013_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29455744592_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-33 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24619513000_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a2039_27170660251_o 2g9a0348_26677625920_o img_9050_26287199510_o gibraltar-national-day_003_9719780602_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-02_20679616163_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar08_11312544233_o fuegos-artificiales-como-colofn-del-da-nacional-de-gibraltar-2015_22731398082_o img_2330_20317962051_o 9-mayo-2014-visita-a-gibraltar-del-secretario-de-estado-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_14164926931_o 7u3a1177_51682130440_o Portaaviones HMS Queen Elizabeth en Gibraltar 20220910_21-GUN-SALUTE_141
