2g9a9398_48907562338_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 2g9a9406_48907561603_o colas-de-salida-26-01-15_16379344415_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_22696990074_o img_0419_46063492272_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival25_14981861847_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-en-chordais-07_9225430980_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_24866203103_o img_5226_34284271002_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0145_15253268370_o img_2704_45564868081_o img_0515_22903735692_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39165069214_o ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho11_14292949546_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39165288544_o img_4174_20919859978_o 7u3a5779_49425818426_o 2g9a2063_49048524878_o 7u3a5797_49425348313_o Monos-32 alameda-gardens-11_38924786164_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131153202_o img_5242_48919601671_o img_2347_44585502262_o rita-ora-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-122_44833865892_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-10_29314686200_o img_2935_43884142484_o 11-de-noviembre-2016-concurso-cyber-centurion-en-gibraltar-4_30828773981_o img_8053_44603356201_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876084291_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_40402218740_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876084441_o reunin-del-ministro-principal-con-susana-daz-en-sevilla_39182270424_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876084551_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770640180_o 2g9a9312_29448012696_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770641380_o 2g9a9315_29448003616_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026143271_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29484975341_o The Gibraltar Music Festival 2g9a0155_26856598152_o img_2953_25133025492_o a-exalcaldesa-de-la-lnea-de-la-concepcin-gemma-araujo-psoe-saluda-al-ministro-principal-de-gibraltar-fabian-picardo_21423551375_o gibraltar-national-day-2013-marcos-moreno14_9717124181_o img_7839_21110663888_o entrevista-fabian-picardo_9516455375_o hms-scimitar-3-royal-navy_48859358348_o
