A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - Fabian Picardo led his GSLP/LiberalAlliance Ministers to the Convent earlier this morning where there were sworn into Government by Acting Governor Alison Macmilan. He and his team then headed to Number Six where they held their first press call as the newly formed Government following a landslide victory. 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar04_14989400172_o img_3350_34112849451_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742373823_o 2016-Queen-Elizabeth-II-90th-Birthday 7u3a6460_49454013673_o 2g9a2989_49093919253_o 2g9a2022_49049240867_o cruise-liners-9_25762305848_o WP_20140508_033 Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-8 2g9a5335_48726350517_o 2g9a6749_48204070016_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131157062_o img_4071_44014421830_o 2g9a4639_48714143166_o dscf7804_42790063810_o img_9630_43969757315_o img_2917_42792489950_o img_0520_36599990166_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_40402219780_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-169_24674693448_o img_9182_38333660752_o_38334711752_o img_2053_36624014180_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-44_31992468222_o img_0495_35671083973_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354053363_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318392602_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978705666_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-20_30790960111_o 1_17-feb-2017-visita-a-gibraltar-del-alcalde-de-chiclana-jos-mara-romn-y-rueda-de-prensa-con-fabin-picardo_32247952521_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29455739122_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25125251529_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-69bn_20617804443_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-24_19955884172_o tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-18_15515854302_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201455_15628563400_o Calentita Night 2014 img_2210_27090571524_o img_8918_24454347406_o GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY 2g9a8829_51681245916_o HMS Prince of Wales en Gibraltar 7U3A9434 7U3A9444
