140520 - Obras en la frontera de Gibraltar img_8524_19462027794_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_4805_26995115337_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-emili-sande_9703018180_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-gabrielle-aplin_9702991912_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-02_17364510895_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-39_9222688899_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-19_16744261133_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-10_29360174011_o img_7559_35347380670_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0165_15439978615_o cervantes-05 img_4715_44297337580_o 2g9a1986_49048520743_o 2g9a0901_48806236947_o WP_20140508_19_03_13_Panorama Familias-esperando-para-verse-de-un-lado-al-otro-de-la-frontera.-Fotografia-expuesta-en-Closure. 2g9a2005_48705913803_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39876342331_o dscf7903_30729837628_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-19_47644436192_o 08-may-2017-32visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_34606278401_o r3wire-varski-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-113_43072431440_o 2g9a9418_32228014701_o stormzy-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-21_44833877632_o img_0138_36311380532_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-27_30280654943_o 2g9a9584_28859278833_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27834021475_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221932184_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-34 img_9583_26532996406_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26088168001_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-29_24914826226_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 0000-0a-dsc_6124_18815826793_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-11_15171145230_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-18_15171281428_o 2g9a1633_26964556050_o 2g9a0254_26951061285_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_25920749753_o 2015_09_14__0231_21235807838_o GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY img_7905_21272237916_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-42_17807380988_o 75-years-gibraltar-honouring-generation-35_17560729205_o BP200031 Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-52-Samantha-Sacramento-Ministra-de-Igualdad hms-sabre-3-royal-navy_48859709926_o
