160421 - Inauguración de la nueva marina en Gibraltar para barcos pequeños Primer vuelo Gibraltar-Marrakech Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 2g9a9315_48908094571_o img_9351_28984555297_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_28095558629_o la-galera-gustavo-bacarisas-de-gibraltar-acoge-las-obras-realizadas-durante-los-talleres-de-verano-del-servicio-de-trastornos-del-aprendizaje_24378113232_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-15_19570563535_o 7u3a6460_49454013673_o 2g9a9873_50032694061_o 2g9a0241_48800934073_o Southport-gates-1 2g9a0395_48801429432_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131160342_o bayside-panorama5_48800933633_o img_5201_48919808622_o 2g9a8342_46581729712_o img_0220_45106514454_o img_1729_30765356978_o img_3343_39127765010_o img_3017_40937853541_o img_8934_24493383368_o_24494934698_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-34_31299666934_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354051733_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318400352_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770640490_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-32_30962835285_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978709086_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-9_30243940573_o img_3777_36765417470_o 2g9a9482_29192800700_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29845563502_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27222138993_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27834024025_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24888688136_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-24_19955884172_o 2g9a2864_27090561494_o img_9145_26534049176_o img_5978_25372636704_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
