Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 20150911_132829357_ios_22754323341_o 20150911_151438431_ios_22730430662_o img_5316_33634059563_o 2016-Alameda-Gardens-200th-Anniversay portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-llegando-a-gibraltar-imagen-tomada-desde-uno-de-los-buques-de-apoyo-via-royal-navy-15_40133903232_o cervantes-05 henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201436_15600025426_o 27-ene-17-fabin-picardo-visita-el-open-de-gibraltar-de-ajedrez-5_32175360370_o 2g9a0680_48806238132_o img_9587_42077109932_o 2g9a0406_48800936943_o Monos-17 2g9a0975_48805746853_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-17 P1080738 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131101253_o img_9284_44160655834_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354078433_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-85_38515439422_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026150951_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 2g9a5876_30999468151_o_31114930445_o img_2348_44585500582_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-1_30880607876_o img_9057_38333196102_o_24494942398_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27758109451_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-10 Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off desfile-de-la-libertad-de-la-ciudad-gibraltar12_9858737554_o The Gibraltar Music Festival 2g9a9414_27839939086_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26295206492_o img_5968_25979442116_o img_9024_24481665715_o 2015_09_14__0219_21235843998_o img_4014_20873269049_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-56_9291877348_o img_3864_20737586969_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-10_20135369714_o despedida-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar-13112013-marcos-moreno28_10967282344_o img_7620_21298789515_o img_7630_21110681430_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_4092_17381630704_o PRMC Personnel getting COVID Vaccine 7u3a6922_51341976657_o 7u3a1156_51680450587_o
