A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. las-bateras-defensivas-de-kings-bastion_22119002383_o paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-16_9222332543_o COLA GIBRALTAR 1_discurso-del-ministro-principal-en-la-cuarta-comisin-de-la-asamblea-general-de-la-organizacin-de-naciones-unidas_30084983446_o img_0434_45202142755_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival43_14277888369_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival30_14981846977_o 7u3a9494_49597578211_o img_2668_45564846101_o 2g9a8302_48874549713_o img_9634_21437037046_o Monos-22 gibraltar-estonia-marzo-2014-1_12955965285_o img_4624_48713815138_o 7u3a5169_49336226428_o img_0283-1_45106517524_o img_9514_44600533271_o img_2367_44585495712_o img_2382_43726243135_o img_2396_43726224855_o img_9106_38333460332_o_26590181149_o OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA 08-may-2017-34visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_34606276781_o img_9930_36082749120_o 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-6_33659897543_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37168278545_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27834018245_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-79 Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-80 img_9617_25953976664_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26062053582_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
