181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Line Wall Road Polling station where tensions were high at one point this morning) - Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_40356658632_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar32_10382425354_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23029351580_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-publico-y-ambiente_9699823795_o img_6686_35154398350_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-26_19287595913_o lema-stay-at-home-stay-safe_49846306238_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16360719866_o Gibraltar - Operation Sea Snake sees tanks and Royal Marines land on Eastern Beach bayside-panorama2_48800933388_o img_9508_41403112394_o 2g9a3979_49336228303_o 7u3a5862_49425349978_o 2g9a2607_49086662502_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-28 Mezquita-11 shipping-3_38736511525_o img_4564_48714310207_o img_3943_45831065251_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-16_47644435012_o img_1470_43725802765_o img_0309-1_45106513714_o img_9042_26588781279_o_37651623264_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-107_38515438592_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-61_29605112535_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978712946_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-71_25326916309_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026134431_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-25_30874577771_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-9_30578377060_o 2g9a9700_28859240913_o 110183_29207859940_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-31 Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-5 visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26128568886_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24619511350_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-05_23129304099_o 10-may-2014-relevo-del-bastn-de-la-reina-de-los-juegos-de-la-commonwealth18_14144584656_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_9115_26493987041_o festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_17316620700_o img_9156_26494083331_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-09_9289356917_o despedida-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar-13112013-marcos-moreno26_10967350023_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-13_20569975758_o 1_7U3A4503 gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3804_17816369038_o
