A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. skywalk-gibraltar-8-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_41367548130_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23551784431_o cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-16_20063444846_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 img_3733_34086397992_o img_9332_28984556927_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival32_14277952958_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-02_17364510895_o img_8897_20115166826_o la-galera-gustavo-bacarisas-de-gibraltar-acoge-las-obras-realizadas-durante-los-talleres-de-verano-del-servicio-de-trastornos-del-aprendizaje_24190851090_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-21_19544475136_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25576708260_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-24_19574914211_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-10_29360174011_o strongmen-201348_10019183643_o img_0755_21408906080_o panorama-13_24765595827_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39843127192_o wellington-front0438_39603689762_o img_2388_26972654888_o reunin-del-ministro-principal-con-susana-daz-en-sevilla_25021138507_o img_2369_37020624361_o 2g9a4666_30280753384_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-19_30282261864_o 2g9a9816_29372682042_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-92 4-abr-2016-inauguracin-nueva-sede-banco-internacional-de-gibraltar-16_26208744916_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-33_24310522334_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-4_24941103085_o Gibraltar - 9th May 2015 - Mo Anton took the first prize at the V Gibraltar Song Festival held at the Tercentennary Sports Hall in Gibraltar.Fourteen singers competed in the final from across the world following over 700 entries. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia.
