restauracin-cementerio-witham-7_25110008999_o 2g9a9472_48907570688_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_0330_45202120175_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-fabian-picardo_9699763301_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-fabian-picardo_9702997286_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival04_14463166122_o img_8897_20115166826_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii57_21190179286_o img_6765_35502346436_o repatriacin-de-nacionales-britnicos-desde-marruecos-covid-19_49870979432_o img_0476_22498822457_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_28095552549_o 2g9a0908_48805746478_o 2012-International-Jazz-Festival 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-18_15832476453_o img_5869_49086444961_o 2g9a2050_49049026366_o beaches-5_24765380957_o alameda-gardens-17_39603967062_o 2g9a2005_48705913803_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131067151_o img_7232_34776972075_o img_4917_48919598151_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31427343906_o img_4766_48713815658_o 2g9a6040_30306940063_o_31078851596_o img_9528_44830690592_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-11_25326960339_o img_9489_44603353981_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29455747202_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-152_24674709848_o 10-may-2016-visita-inaugural-crucero-jewel-of-the-seas-12_26935101915_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-113_28981256273_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-62 Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 24-jun-2016-comparecencia-de-fabin-picardo-en-el-parlamento-de-gibraltar-tras-referndum-permanencia-ru-en-ue-3_27844267536_o img_2942_25251346645_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening 2g9a1648_27170660921_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201422_15813421055_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-77_21274344176_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_25782784684_o img_7885_21272256216_o 2319-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20521925139_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-41_17807379738_o BP200031 Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-16-Ministro-Principal-y-Samantha-Sacramento BP200031 El-Gobernador-David-Stee-Fabian-Picardo-y-Justine-Picardo-2
