desayuno-financiero-de-gibraltar-en-londres_44604719515_o europa-foreshore_48205617181_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_22697060984_o img_0327_45202120685_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-40_25062303546_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0086-bw_15436769111_o img_9834_20845503514_o img_4742_46113676411_o 2g9a0424_48801429107_o gibraltar-tradewise-chess-festival_002_12193605043_o gibraltar-feroe-febrero-2014-09_12865025954_o 2g9a9769_50032155818_o 7u3a9633_49900298003_o 7u3a5085_49336224738_o gib-view-4_25761641128_o commonwealth-park-17_24765491067_o st-michaels-cave-4_27855708499_o 2g9a4211_48230717867_o img_5335_48919602611_o img_5351_48919804487_o img_5355_48919602286_o img_1186_36605138130_o img_3154_26064428717_o img_3252_40895448322_o img_0776_25762436127_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-28_31299668844_o img_2023_36212886323_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-7_29314689520_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354077343_o 2g9a5844_31113333995_o_31114930725_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978712556_o 2g9a9272_29482473415_o img_2249_37163040685_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221929624_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26088168001_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-17_23129285749_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 24-jun-2016-comparecencia-de-fabin-picardo-en-el-parlamento-de-gibraltar-tras-referndum-permanencia-ru-en-ue-4_27802410091_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-03_21187341475_o 2g9a9769_27840006966_o 2g9a2015_27205710586_o img_4476_25524472532_o 2g9a2047_27172745281_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-01_9292192484_o img_8600_21295354426_o 75-years-gibraltar-honouring-generation-44_17374295059_o 9-mayo-2014-visita-a-gibraltar-del-secretario-de-estado-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_14164926931_o HMS Prince of Wales en Gibraltar Joe-Bossano-3
