A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 20150911_131846682_ios_22120640664_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival63_15145279956_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - Fabian Picardo led his GSLP/LiberalAlliance Ministers to the Convent earlier this morning where there were sworn into Government by Acting Governor Alison Macmilan. He and his team then headed to Number Six where they held their first press call as the newly formed Government following a landslide victory. img_8898_20141414935_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-08_14130564566_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742371653_o 7u3a5734_49425814431_o 2g9a0352_48800932988_o 2g9a1991_49049019336_o 2g9a2938_49094630982_o 2g9a2029_49048528063_o 2g9a4868_48717726782_o 2g9a4273_48230654131_o img_1663_37002125735_o img_9963_41290383175_o img_8926_38363789151_o_37651627074_o img_9007_38309220506_o_38310544776_o img_8799_38364855041_o img_7245_33935298394_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-6_32102452856_o 15-diciembre-2016-inauguracin-de-la-restauracin-de-wellingtong-front-29_31677588875_o 14-diciembre-2016-gbc-open-day-maratn-benfico-5_30801732334_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37168277215_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-103_29494973242_o img_2210_36991629332_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318398802_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_30655823343_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-14_30282265074_o 11-de-noviembre-2016-concurso-cyber-centurion-en-gibraltar-2_30615636600_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29455738262_o 101061_28874459253_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-13bn_21228471602_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-82_21000526399_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. a-dsc_5936_18813991734_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201430_15628237047_o simulacro-accidente-aereo-en-gibraltar-03122014-14_15918121076_o tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-22_15329662637_o img_4042_20871806700_o img_7648_21272475626_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-20_20571214569_o 7 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-35_20731680456_o Remembrance-Sunday-2022-2 fabian-picardo-en-los-cursos-de-verano-de-san-roque-16072015-01_19558584428_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3695_17816395278_o Gibraltar to host European Showdance Championships 2015
