160421 - Inauguración de la nueva marina en Gibraltar para barcos pequeños nueva-ruta-area-gibraltar-manchester_28082295725_o 15-de-abril-2016-jardines-de-la-alameda-de-gibraltar-5_26348598742_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Commissioner of police at Town Range Polling Station as he oversees security) Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. skywalk-gibraltar-11-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_42273841895_o 15-de-abril-2016-jardines-de-la-alameda-de-gibraltar-6_26168070490_o cementerio-de-trafalgar-gibraltar_22121770824_o el-convento-residencia-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar_22740235065_o untitled_panorama1_19462134994_o img_4830_41863370871_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23299143366_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar08_10382666983_o world-music-festival-2013-poster_9222652623_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival08_14461010631_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off university-24_39603875022_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201422_15437616718_o 31-de-mayo-ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho27_14129463140_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39165270094_o strongmen-201373_10019008173_o strongmen-201374_10018923446_o 7u3a5784_49426044942_o img_5742_49086658957_o P1080629 2g9a2159_48706247486_o img_9172_38364384271_o_37651613034_o 2g9a5965_48204653302_o img_4602_23521819188_o 08-may-2017-12visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895405434_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-32_30880582466_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37168263075_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-50_30828721161_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27222138023_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27417180775_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26613133941_o a-dsc_0247_19440895811_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_4482_25524462342_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-81_20677918134_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 10-septiembre-2014-national-day24_15201550265_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3764_17816379438_o INSTAL3 1_7U3A4531 Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-5 mr-robert-durrell_50825162171_o Condes-de-Wessex-Moorish-Castle-Estate-The-Royal-Family-Twitter-1 fabin-picardo-ministro-principal-gibraltar-10_9222247861_o
