A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23299278716_o img_3713_33402051354_o img_4810_26995115817_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-04_19900970102_o img_9382_43202800974_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16384943991_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-3_11213199744_o Gibraltar - Preparations for Operation Sea Snake start at Eastern beach with tanks img_4301_20484970774_o img_0836_21410248259_o 7u3a9663_49901121447_o 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-1_15830022764_o commonwealth-park-14_38925461814_o img_0188_41972496210_o 2g9a0575_48919597231_o img_9687_21276231879_o img_5056_48919598671_o 7u3a0086_50032953247_o img_5089_48919070388_o evacuation-monument-0470_39604178312_o dscf7900_43693500535_o img_0773_25038466877_o img_2062_36213050773_o img_3787_36349091013_o 2g9a5373_30961938615_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-35_30828729481_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876084701_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27732660082_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27732673142_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-93 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-05_21195175791_o 5-enero-2014-cabalgata-de-reyes-gibraltar-11_16035736079_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201436_15789740706_o 2g9a9689_27798173191_o 2g9a0171_26882523611_o img_8989_24373422262_o img_9024_24481665715_o 2015_09_14__0191_21236870879_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
