9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23551784431_o airport-0424_39633944971_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23216916032_o img_3420_34086342192_o img_4876_27994660228_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar31_10382453795_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-43_9225469188_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival40_15168383565_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_2638_44650697605_o 7u3a9477_49597827667_o jebel-sahara-10_23103772252_o img_0466_22928235021_o festival-literario-gibraltar15_10496884345_o img_0837_20976049273_o 2g9a2026_49049240687_o 2g9a0977_48806101696_o fb25b0d5db8a7419686f3332b40edc83 62032-0-02 Monos-2 img_4080_48699660251_o img_2356_39948489645_o nova-twins-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-116_43972682515_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-113_38547062931_o img_9143_37650297304_o_37651617874_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-68_32141122185_o img_9939_36311276032_o 2g9a5084_30659556820_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026133911_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-82_30661165880_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-13_30578375520_o 2g9a9309_29373757842_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221933674_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-23 visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26128568356_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-34_21187392345_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-01_15329590618_o Gibraltar - 9th May 2015 - Mo Anton took the first prize at the V Gibraltar Song Festival held at the Tercentennary Sports Hall in Gibraltar.Fourteen singers competed in the final from across the world following over 700 entries.
