Escorted by the Royal Gibraltar Police civil servants manning the polling stations, along with witnesses will now seal the boxes before the doors opened at 9am.RGP officers were at the polling stations since early morning searching and securing all stations before the ballot boxes arrivedTwo main parties are running for election, the GSLP/Liberals led by Fabian Picardo and the GSD led by Daniel Feetham. img_0380_45202127385_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival05_14441412846_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-13_29439884885_o img_0690_21409275438_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Line Wall Road Polling station where tensions were high at one point this morning) - Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in  tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident.
