A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. nueva-ruta-area-gibraltar-manchester_28082256515_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23525502002_o vehculos-a-la-entrada-de-gibraltar_9459018051_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii48_21190199416_o la-galera-gustavo-bacarisas-de-gibraltar-acoge-las-obras-realizadas-durante-los-talleres-de-verano-del-servicio-de-trastornos-del-aprendizaje_24190846560_o img_9923_20847047893_o default 2g9a2960_49094440386_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-29_19384065329_o 7u3a9697_49901121042_o american-war-memorial-7760_39633617661_o Monos-25 Monos-en-la-ciudad-20 Alameda-13 2g9a4499_48714307747_o 2g9a5937_48204654177_o img_5387_48919074043_o img_5442_48919073218_o img_2369_26972664768_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-31_32754312037_o img_4602_23521819188_o 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-7_34309883462_o 7-feb-2017-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-y-el-alcalde-de-la-lnea-juan-franco_32610430182_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026135351_o 2g9a5978_30746315560_o_31001131821_o img_3804_36326669504_o 2g9a6017_31077504146_o_30972124302_o 2g9a6167_30746397560_o_31114931015_o 2g9a5323_30845129512_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-85_25326905139_o 2g9a7209_29207186483_o 2g9a7210_29833208615_o 2g9a7461_29750674201_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28941932183_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_25551863003_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221948314_o 10-may-2014-relevo-del-bastn-de-la-reina-de-los-juegos-de-la-commonwealth01_14164440701_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. Gibraltar - 9th May 2015 - Mo Anton took the first prize at the V Gibraltar Song Festival held at the Tercentennary Sports Hall in Gibraltar.Fourteen singers competed in the final from across the world following over 700 entries. Among the singers were Greeks, French, Israeli, Spanish, Irish and Gibraltarian singers, img_5958_25372598094_o 2g9a0177_26951080795_o img_8705_23852652374_o 75-years-gibraltar-honouring-generation-43_17560537611_o Kingston-26 1_2G9A0456 img_4417_19916367574_o Remembrance-Sunday-2022-10
