181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto paisajes-la-bahia-gibraltar-02_9225029212_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_40356658632_o untitled_panorama-6_19896761350_o conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_40401119331_o vista-area-de-las-colas-de-acceso-a-gibraltar_9460862160_o colas-frontera-diciembre03_12348814863_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar22_14989721515_o img_3420_34086342192_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii81_21190115726_o 7u3a9503_49597578106_o 2013-Europa-2013-Postal-Vehicles 2014-Shakespeare-450th-Anniversary regiment-freedom-of-city-0174_15435565781_o 2g9a0459_26247307513_o 2g9a8306_48875081921_o 2g9a3003_49094442191_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-03_14153902874_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39165074284_o P1080600 2g9a4494_48714142106_o 2g9a6797_48204117537_o img_4990_48919068038_o img_1688_36166373184_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_42163383242_o 2g9a9237_29852392220_o img_8932_26588688019_o_38334730212_o 2g9a6119_30746368720_o_31001138851_o img_1165_36830716112_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-53_30846284022_o 2g9a7245_29750590361_o img_5205_29399314991_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221929624_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-82 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-39_24573489889_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-82_21000526399_o 31-de-mayo-ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho16_14129477520_o investidura-adolfo-canepa-como-nuevo-alcalde13_13581563104_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_25784834853_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24470797626_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-54_9291887936_o Kingston-46 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-37_20570009800_o Banderas Gibraltar, 25 septiembre 2013.
