181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto 4982-2020_50166835186_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. restauracin-cementerio-witham-18_25477581305_o img_8544_19463737043_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-352_22745118555_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival11_14981909888_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival34_14441290056_o 2g9a0845_48805745823_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25782333821_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-6_19384041939_o repatriacin-de-nacionales-britnicos-desde-marruecos-covid-19_49870139223_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-27_13967048887_o 2g9a0901_48806236947_o img_7627_27855939919_o 7u3a5797_49425348313_o jumpers-bastion-2_39633998981_o evacuation-monument-0491_24765693877_o Punta-Europa-15 P1080703 2g9a6815_48204069306_o 2g9a8418_32759668068_o dscf7781_44550419062_o el-ministro-principal-de-gibraltar-fabin-picardo_37651611504_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-13_31765982120_o 15-diciembre-2016-inauguracin-de-la-restauracin-de-wellingtong-front-33_31562034291_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-43_28981297623_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354071583_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-102_22784234748_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354090423_o 2g9a7342_29750649021_o img_2210_36991629332_o 2g9a9466_29192805970_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-12_30790814361_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29455746672_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-45 2g9a9812_27262596603_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
