A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_4827_40964775715_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival54_15167944762_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 2017-WWF-Bats-of-Gibraltar proyecto-de-construccin-de-las-dos-nuevas-escuelas-de-bayside-y-westside-en-waterport-gibraltar_40689988645_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0110_15416901426_o intercambio-cultural-entre-gibraltar-y-cdiz_42896461471_o university-panorama-4_21457018122_o 2016-Historic-Streets-of-Gibraltar celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-16_9224821622_o img_9674_42123216141_o 7u3a9693_49900297453_o 7u3a5074_49336224968_o 7u3a5844_49426046407_o jews-gate-cemetery-0489_24765624257_o lighthouse_25761731128_o P1080658 P1080674 commonwealth-park-10_38925456644_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-7 1_Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-15 img_4571_48714144371_o img_1159_36861637871_o img_7258_34614714372_o 2g9a9154_29519595894_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-80_29524293581_o 2g9a4673_30279141143_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221930844_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-27_19775609750_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-02_15171327257_o 2g9a2895_27424754490_o img_9029_23853873183_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-54_9291887936_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24201449510_o 2015_09_14__0262_21431981071_o GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY img_7782_20677503173_o 9-mayo-2014-visita-a-gibraltar-del-secretario-de-estado-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_13981602568_o img_4425_19918053993_o 29.3-2021 El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-17
