A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_3363_34202597316_o portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-llegando-a-gibraltar-imagen-tomada-desde-uno-de-los-buques-de-apoyo-via-royal-navy-14_40133903872_o img_0643_21410118719_o 2g9a0343_48801281571_o strongmen-201320_10019229124_o bayside-panorama1_48800932818_o img_9478_41222425125_o img_4248_20919754458_o 2g9a1974_49048523953_o 180731 - Visita a la nueva central eléctrica y planta de GNL Monos-18 img_6362ddfg_39602853922_o 7U3A2457 img_9407_44160683964_o img_1049_36646546305_o img_9447_42792484420_o img_8833_24494271258_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-129_26771239019_o img_9481_36197422705_o img_5291_42275711632_o img_9547_36197417855_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-18_36750959630_o_37027016171_o 2g9a5950_30306895493_o_30294465174_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36331786984_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27834008315_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354081913_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-84 05-ene-2016-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_24206821945_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-47bn_21051017518_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201431_15811532241_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26387593305_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201438_15628008388_o 2015_09_14__0182_21235714100_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24388705312_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-93_21274325826_o Gibraltar, 25 septiembre 2013.
