A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_0539_44297152980_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-gabrielle-aplin_9702991912_o img_0569_32242280238_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-en-chordais-12_9222658431_o img_8776_20115367256_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-16_14150403041_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions cruise-liners-1_39633630751_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0072_15438762275_o Monos-57 2g9a0911_48806101396_o Mezquita-14 la-tv-alemana-zdf-graba-un-reportaje-en-gibraltar-michael-petch-zdf_25757766450_o 2g9a8361_46581736712_o 2g9a9496_50032885662_o img_0278_45781939652_o img_5717_49085936068_o img_3133_40937784101_o img_4554_48714144486_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-22_30280683363_o 23-feb-2018-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-e-izquierda-unida-2_38627527620_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959238735_o 5-enero-2017-cabalgata-de-reyes-magos-gibraltar-7_31288264824_o img_5308_29479032585_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36331782354_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-80 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354074563_o miss-gibraltar-en-la-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_23578622244_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354093843_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-08_22868970364_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201454_15628009588_o tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-01_15329590618_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26387567785_o img_2542_24723536509_o 2015_09_14__0214_21235859138_o gibraltar-national-day-2013-210_9716930595_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-18_20748573932_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-02_20679616163_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-15_21113815859_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-39_17807378168_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_4192_18001012322_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-27-Ministro-Principal-y-Samantha-Sacramento Royal Gibraltar Regiment Soldiers guaring HMS Albion BP200031
