conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_38590500850_o bunkering-_9225010784_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. vistas-desde-el-castillo-moro-de-gibraltar_22552429930_o 7u3a9824_50032742591_o colas-coches-gibraltar-febrero-2014-7_12614288325_o inmaculada-fotos-23112014-04_15471105524_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23325289295_o img_0369_44297010400_o img_0429_45202145845_o 29-mayo-inauguracin-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho15_14311136714_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-yasmin-levy-mediterranean-andalusian-orchestra-ashkelon-36_9222725509_o gibraltar-estonia-marzo-2014-7_12956084373_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742374263_o Alameda-27 img_2588_30623743577_o P1080780 2g9a0406_48800936943_o 2g9a8460_46634159261_o 2g9a0902_48806239252_o img_1436_29696619867_o HM-Queen-Elizabeth-II-Prince-Philip-Lifetime-of-Service img_0727_28129694989_o 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-7_15832492483_o 5-enero-2017-cabalgata-de-reyes-magos-gibraltar-22_31319334473_o img_9648_44160821024_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-2_32141120285_o img_9761_31008252048_o 2g9a5243_30925820726_o 23-feb-2018-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-e-izquierda-unida-2_38627527620_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959237535_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978714326_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959239875_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026133681_o 2g9a9458_29192808720_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27383411476_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-46 visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26128564936_o 000-a-dsc_6081_19250262519_o img_2916_24883985029_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2919-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20682426726_o gibraltar-national-day-2013-238_9716882215_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-66_21300627035_o 75-years-gibraltar-honouring-generation-51_16938005264_o img_5896_19915977704_o 7 33 Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-48 1_Incendio-en-tunel-de-Gibraltar-3
