A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. monos-zona-alta-del-pen-con-turistas-08_9225077022_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23551787291_o COLA GIBRALTAR elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23325431485_o Gibraltar - Drivers wait for hours to cross border Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 img_3420_34086342192_o festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar-25102014-32_15628305841_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_2618_44650700265_o 2015-Gibraltar-Year-of-the-Goat university-28_38925363414_o Homenaje-a-Manolo-Mascarenhas-en-la-exposicion strongmen-201313_10019404803_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_28095556259_o img_4260_21081434986_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-28_37623774112_o img_5742_49086658957_o img_4609_48714144116_o img_5389_48919603576_o img_1034_36599992496_o OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA img_0658_36082750110_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978708796_o img_2160_36973622246_o 2g9a5186_30961474375_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-101_30962790565_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-13_22784347128_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-18_30874581751_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876084291_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27799757346_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. a-dsc_0239_18816048023_o 2g9a9852_27596511090_o img_9046_25957174493_o img_1365_24682305900_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_25782784684_o 2015_09_14__0111_21397673846_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
