181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto 15-de-abril-2016-jardines-de-la-alameda-de-gibraltar-3_26374734711_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-02_9225042222_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23029341790_o img_3792_34086386182_o img_0339_45202116835_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii76_20593707514_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-8_24458001554_o img_5194_34284276862_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25492906665_o 2018-RAF-Centenary regiment-freedom-of-city-0151-bw_15439971905_o 2g9a0917_48805746283_o 2g9a0755_48805744608_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_28095552549_o 2g9a0401_48801283111_o 16-julio-2014-partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-02_14755672285_o gibraltar-feroe-febrero-2014-02_12864647783_o gibraltar-feroe-febrero-2014-13_12865007524_o strongmen-201331_10019222746_o strongmen-201374_10018923446_o img_9424_42123276931_o img_9405_42123217571_o 2g9a8834_48826628056_o Monos-6 Alameda-24 st-michael-cave-214_38925229934_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131158117_o img_0224_28318269758_o img_7988_42792487310_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978713646_o img_9523_35361469934_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-42_30661182750_o 2g9a4488_30280747484_o 2g9a4452_30827319821_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24286855584_o a-dsc_5602_18814099644_o ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho06_14312769701_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26321376721_o img_2871_25158679301_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_23868808684_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24470801436_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
