desayuno-financiero-de-gibraltar-en-londres_45467534112_o desayuno-financiero-de-gibraltar-en-londres_30577290937_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 2g9a9912_48907837136_o img_8524_19462027794_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-720_22122664503_o skywalk-gibraltar-3-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_42273842695_o img_3336_33432741983_o img_3710_33402052134_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-02_9222656641_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez30_12102215094_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii69_21029591069_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-75_28815957304_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-32_24457971934_o img_5319_34402457706_o img_9761_21280207840_o cervantes-05 2g9a2938_49094630982_o strongmen-201358_10018989234_o 2g9a0471_48801283901_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-12 2g9a0970_48806101816_o main-street-0436_24765665127_o P1080607 evacuation-monument-0489_27856102459_o dav Aerial view of the urban town population of Gibraltar.Photo by Cpl Scott Robertson RAFCommand Photographer British Forces Gibraltar img_2917_42792489950_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_41488508784_o img_5314_40516047320_o 2g9a9378_32228016271_o 2g9a4667_30280752914_o 2g9a9291_28860283793_o img_5034_28856464594_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26679067535_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24286855844_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26431297392_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-19bn_21212673716_o 2015_09_14__0256_20800876304_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201436_15789740706_o GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201444_15789739406_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_4242_17817962909_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3678_18004283585_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day14_15015002787_o HMS-Dasher Kingston-27 img_8775_50855054558_o customs-3-aduanas-hmc-seeker_48859711446_o
