Primer vuelo Gibraltar-Marrakech nueva-ruta-area-gibraltar-manchester_28082129415_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_4803_41863362271_o img_0070_43872609692_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-emili-sande_9703009186_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-gabrielle-aplin_9699744383_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-publico-y-ambiente_9699816029_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii13_21216539545_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii76_20593707514_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25466796986_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-18_24970498362_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868057861_o 7u3a9446_49597826977_o 2019-D-Day-Landings-75th-Anniversary Gibraltar - Operation Sea Snake sees tanks and Royal Marines land on Eastern Beach calpeia1_48875164162_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-32_13967048519_o 2g9a0311_48801281971_o 2g9a3995_49336228918_o 2g9a0823_48806101076_o 2g9a2558_49086448071_o img_5114_48919807702_o img_0125_36082727340_o img_9761_31008252048_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_30656124973_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37168291795_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_30623211394_o img_2193_36991636542_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-66_30927248186_o img_2314_36326581534_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-52_30800410832_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-25_30763272102_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25125250099_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-2_24941103815_o a-dsc_5914_18815878713_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-17_15357543532_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. img_2095_27602497042_o img_2239_27628292661_o 2g9a2050_27172744801_o img_9221_26494044151_o img_8703_24454644146_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-53_21290032802_o img_7839_21110663888_o Kingston-5 7U3A4789 009_19691290073_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-54-Samantha-Sacramento-Ministra-de-Igualdad fabian-picardo6_9939610964_o
