Vistas de Gibraltar 180607 - Gibraltar realiza trabajos en enclaves y en el litoral Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 140520 - Obras en la frontera de Gibraltar restauracin-cementerio-witham-2_25110010969_o la-entrada-al-cementerio-de-trafalgar-de-gibraltar_22119062523_o default 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23551727711_o inmaculada-fotos-23112014-05_15907669997_o img_3454_33432748583_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868057221_o img_9376_43202801714_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0261_15438762735_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-32_37623773272_o ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho22_14129552797_o strongmen-201303_10019483303_o strongmen-201323_10019261025_o 2g9a9815_50032156708_o 7u3a5871_49426045672_o img_4844-after_38737164145_o 2g9a8354_32759670148_o img_9589_44881498391_o dscf7912_44550422882_o img_3148_40043122955_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-27_32022607631_o img_9525_36030356192_o 2g9a5263_25325618279_o 2g9a4574_30827336691_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-30_30790808191_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959237725_o 2g9a7209_29207186483_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. Gibraltar - 9th May 2015 - Mo Anton took the first prize at the V Gibraltar Song Festival held at the Tercentennary Sports Hall in Gibraltar.Fourteen singers competed in the final from across the world following over 700 entries.
