This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-168_22124295853_o img_4004_16259961761_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-24_16744256733_o img_5344_33634011173_o img_2578_44839791164_o 2014-Definitive 2018-The-Prince-of-Wales img_4624_31174602777_o 2g9a0357_48801282636_o university-4_39633682981_o gibraltar-tradewise-chess-festival_003_12193958386_o strongmen-201361_10019115043_o img_4197_20920904089_o 1_img_0090_42877262545_o 2g9a8822_48826777227_o 2g9a9673_50032156063_o P1080601 2g9a2091_48706249136_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131074511_o img_5150_48919069573_o img_5332_48919073073_o img_2367_44585495712_o img_8673_39910047901_o img_9143_37650297304_o_37651617874_o 24-04-2017-desfile-de-la-libertad-de-la-ciudad-de-los-royal-engineers-7_34113616621_o img_1550_36185382054_o img_2079_37163099455_o 11-de-noviembre-2016-concurso-cyber-centurion-en-gibraltar-10_30282304524_o 2g9a7361_29797929986_o 107776_29207863600_o 123283_29416809541_o img_5103_28855182574_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
