Vistas de Gibraltar sector-juego-online-ladboke-gibraltar-08_9222285059_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. con-motivo-del-da-nacional-de-gibraltar-10-de-septiembre-calles-casas-y-patios-se-engalanan-con-los-colores-nacionales_22726753932_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 20150911_141754665_ios_22743471585_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar24_14803111888_o 25-noviember-2014-cola-de-salida-gibraltar-02_15696482999_o inmaculada-fotos-23112014-10_15473742663_o colas-de-salida-26-01-15_16191675438_o img_4002_16261791265_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar28_10382635413_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival51_15145308876_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-80_28818124593_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868055661_o img_0510_22498866888_o 15-de-enero-2016-simulacro-de-rescate-con-helicpteros-merlin-mk3-en-gibraltar-13_23771645703_o 2g9a2963_49094630012_o 2g9a0222_48801426452_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-13_19570567125_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-30_37398191320_o 2g9a9873_50032694061_o img_9704_21463089125_o 2g9a9878_50032156553_o img_4799after_38737173265_o img_5115_48919807667_o 2g9a5331_48726175831_o img_0741_26036930368_o 2g9a4702_48714309657_o 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-16_34309882402_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 128110_29416790751_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354071893_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-25_20999394178_o 17-feb-2017-visita-a-gibraltar-del-alcalde-de-chiclana-jos-mara-romn-y-rueda-de-prensa-con-fabin-picardo_32329015496_o img_2212_27090568064_o img_4984_29192586210_o img_8802_24373530132_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
