A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. panormica-desde-la-parte-alta-del-pen_22750648491_o 25-noviember-2014-cola-de-salida-gibraltar-02_15696482999_o img_0388_45202126145_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii34_21206095472_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_7570_34925361313_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente24_12249046875_o img_2623_44650699515_o 2g9a2568_49086447926_o 125th-Anniversary-of-Gibraltar-Stamps beaches-2_25762495408_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-2_37398194570_o img_9639_39633864651_o img_0217_29910453478_o P1080795 img_4564_48714310207_o img_1186_36605138130_o img_1790_36605216500_o dscf7828_44600541071_o img_1635_43726052185_o 08-may-2017-13visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_34353152170_o actividades-paralelas-al-open-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_32570311531_o img_0621_36479634145_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-19_37148806825_o_37027015991_o 2g9a9666_29372757102_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36331787904_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26613213141_o img_2326_36326580144_o a-dsc_5224_18816029363_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-109_28981258643_o a-dsc_5936_18813991734_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-18_15171281428_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26457533451_o 2g9a0213_26677607330_o img_9046_25957174493_o img_8638_24454427356_o img_7751_21110548540_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-26_20569963698_o img_4250_19919257943_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-01_9224811070_o 2g9a8776_51681501718_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_4097_18001017542_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-49-Samantha-Sacramento-Ministra-de-Igualdad BP200031
