180607 - Gibraltar realiza trabajos en enclaves y en el litoral restauracin-cementerio-witham-3_25477574815_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. memorial-en-honor-a-los-cados-estadounidenses-en-gibraltar-durante-la-i-guerra-mundial_22119577283_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-279_22124140653_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. gibraltar-music-festival-2013-level-42_9699895285_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_22698087063_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-publico-y-ambiente_9699816029_o img_0387_45202126515_o foot-08_17683198205_o 2g9a4912_48874962496_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-19_14150893532_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39876481121_o img_9593_42077108322_o 2g9a9873_50032694061_o 2g9a2005_49049016151_o cruise-liners-15_38737422295_o P1080654 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131097303_o 2g9a5968_48204605016_o img_5212_48919808437_o img_4734_48713815358_o img_1179_36605141040_o national-day-panorama5_48714141071_o img_1649_43916340584_o img_9512_29664841297_o img_2352_25970937847_o img_8796_24494354408_o img_0515_36082683250_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354071023_o 2g9a9321_29482384175_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354088883_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-68 Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-07_19776880979_o 5-enero-2014-cabalgata-de-reyes-gibraltar-21_16196151806_o 2g9a0163_26951098325_o 2g9a0322_26882459281_o img_5990_25376580433_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24201463920_o Kingston-23 fabian-picardo-en-los-cursos-de-verano-de-san-roque-16072015-10_19559974049_o 1_7U3A4660 BP200031 img_2323-3_20125331029_o img_6405jkjkh_20125181009_o USS-Alaska-Gib-3 Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-12 fabian-picardo1_9939615874_o
