Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. nueva-ruta-area-gibraltar-manchester_28048206996_o sector-juego-online-ladboke-gibraltar-09_9222284525_o sector-juego-online-ladboke-gibraltar-10_9222283431_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. restauracin-cementerio-witham-22_25359129142_o colas-de-salida-26-01-15_16193088359_o img_3414_33432754253_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-hollie-buhagiar_9699938127_o img_0426_45389519934_o colegio-hebreo_17680999552_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25374456202_o img_9509_41222418705_o 7u3a9427_49597828562_o img_9560_28250748498_o intercambio-cultural-entre-gibraltar-y-cdiz_41086200300_o 2g9a8858_48826626511_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-30_37398191320_o img_4852-after_25762298068_o Alameda-12 2g9a2159_48706247486_o img_4110_31960326808_o img_3023_26064783637_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-136_37830964054_o img_8982_38333002682_o_26590190339_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-139_38547035801_o img_9146_37650292474_o_38310538546_o img_2309_43916529934_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-32_31299667734_o img_3866_37163016705_o 2g9a5224_22782890628_o 2g9a9745_29401390581_o 2g9a9810_29372684692_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29565262465_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-50 img_5114_29445259996_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24619510400_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-06_21000510809_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-58_20999449128_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26361656626_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201432_15628236897_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24496994275_o fuegos-artificiales-como-colofn-del-da-nacional-de-gibraltar-2015_22756168771_o img_4338_20546230241_o 7u3a6937_51342922503_o 6 El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-3 Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-10-RGP
