turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-453_22719033706_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. img_3315_33432747563_o img_3762_34086390502_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-la-oreja-de-van-gogh-marcos-moreno08_9699925681_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_8897_20115166826_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_25374457782_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-59_29439810185_o 1953-Serie-completa 7u3a6462_49454013618_o img_0553_22917125655_o img_2652_45564848191_o festival-literario-gibraltar12_10496906755_o 2g9a4974_48875161427_o 31-de-mayo-ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho16_14129477520_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-38_37656644311_o img_5784_49086442546_o gibraltar-eslovaquia01_10967664513_o WP_20140508_024 P1080738 2g9a4494_48714142106_o img_5282_48919071633_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-67_32102432316_o img_9489_44603353981_o 2g9a6173_30746406410_o_31001127321_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-26_36750954840_o_37027014961_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-4_30243923793_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37168272005_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29845564232_o img_2180_36991639712_o 87824_28871965894_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27799753256_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27345928491_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25466666316_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_24866076523_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24547370469_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a9850_27262581833_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26457507611_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26457533451_o img_2848_25133639582_o img_9232_26534108326_o img_8705_23852652374_o gibraltar-national-day_005_9716546045_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-14_20679592553_o 75-years-gibraltar-honouring-generation-21_16938262114_o 3_50824446263_o Clubhouse-Condesa-de-Wessex-en-Clubhouse-servicio-de-apoyo-a-personas-con-problemas-de-salud-mental-2 MX160021
