A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. monos-zona-alta-del-pen-con-turistas-13_9222296481_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-78_22731990422_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii66_21029598579_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-26_9225450908_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-27 img_8739_19520826473_o 2g9a4625_48714309212_o img_2720_45564860431_o img_5206_48919808592_o bayside-panorama1_48800932818_o img_5363_48919810047_o 1_img_0067_43733187372_o 2g9a8465_46634158961_o img_8161_29664842007_o img_9143_37650297304_o_37651617874_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-155_38547045151_o img_0472_36082667740_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354051733_o img_9951_36311274582_o 2g9a5973_31113360585_o_31001126141_o 2g9a6148_30306802443_o_31001137691_o 2g9a5150_30659667930_o 2g9a5187_30961477885_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-95_25326898979_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-5_30846389752_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-17_30843118256_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29275189760_o img_9617_25953976664_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-13_24941101885_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-10bn_21052080459_o 5-enero-2014-cabalgata-de-reyes-gibraltar-17_16196153176_o 2g9a9846_27773274752_o img_9109_26534058536_o img_4454_25550523361_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-22_20571212519_o 1_7U3A4542 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-01_21300724625_o img_4424_19918068293_o fuegos-artificiales-como-colofn-del-da-nacional-de-gibraltar-2015_22731418922_o img_4684_20512379286_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3810_17977793726_o El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-12
